Q. How to enable/disable/delete of an image template that exists locally or has been downloaded from a remote repository?
In case the user would like to create a VM instance using one of these available local image templates, the desired template status of this instance should be enabled, by clicking on the action button for the corresponding template, and then select the Enable option. The user is also able to deactivate an already enabled template from the local repo by selecting the disable option. In addition, users are also able to delete either 'enabled' or 'disabled' local templates, as shown in the image below. For more information please read Template management.
Q. How to download an image template?
The user can download a remote template from the sunlight repo, in order to be used for an instance creation. Consequently, the user can select 'sunlight' tab repo and click on the 'Download' option. For more details please read Template management.
Q. What is the image type?
The user can distinguish the type (HVM or PV) of the template. Para-virtualization (PV) gave you better performance (with a much closer integration to the virtualization host, through patched specialized kernels/drivers on both the host and the guest). Hardware-assisted virtualization (HVM) uses the benefits provided in modern hardware, and it doesn't require any kind of custom kernel or patches.
Q. Can the instance be resized?
Yes, the Sunlight.io platform provides the capability of changing the size of an instance by changing its flavor. This process rebuilds the instance and therefore concludes with a restart.

Q. How to access a windows instance?

Please change this to a secure password. For Windows 2016 the password for user administrator must be reset as soon as you connect via the VNC console.

Q. Why ephemeral disks are not appear on a windows instance?
Once a new ephemeral disk has been assigned, following the creation or the resize of a Windows Instance, the user is able to login via the console and add this additional disk volume through the Windows Disk Management. Q. Can i manually migrate instances from one node to another? If yes, how?
Yes, you cane manually migrate instances. The following link (Instance Migration) refers to the manual migration process of an existing instance from one NexVisor Node to another.
Q. How can i shutdown/startup/reboot an instance?
Instances can be shutdown (terminated) and started up again or they can be restarted through the instance's "actions" menu, as described on the following link Instance Actions.
Q. How can i add/remove a virtual network interface (VIF) from an instance?
Add/Remove instance refers to the functionality of attaching or deleting a virtual network interface (VIF) to an existing VM instance. A VIF can be attached to an existing VM instance through the list of available VIFs.
